With names like Sonic Boom, Mach 1, Tail Spin and Nose Dive, water-loving thrill seekers can conquer water slides year-round at the McMinnville water park — Oregon’s only indoor waterpark that happens to have a Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet parked on the roof. The Evergreen Wings and Waves waterpark in McMinnville, Oregon is part of the Evergreen Aviation Museum that opened in 2011. In addition to 10 water slides, there are several pools to splash around in including a wave pool. If parents would like to keep an eye on the kids without getting wet, there’s a special “dry pass” that allows access to the observation area. The waterpark is open year-round and is climate controlled so everyday can feel like summer.
