Gallery Theater Presents: The Curious Savage

Mrs. Savage inherits ten million dollars and wants to use it wisely, despite her greedy stepchildren’s attempts to seize it. When they realize the fortune is in securities they can’t access, they commit her to a sanatorium to “bring her to her senses.” There, she bonds with endearing misfits, finding happiness among them. Though advised she could leave, she hesitates, wary of the outside world’s greed. Her stepchildren, frustrated by her resilience, are eventually thwarted by her new friends, who help Mrs. Savage establish a fund to support others’ dreams. This high comedy celebrates kindness over greed.
