Botanical Dye Workshop

Join us for a unique summer afternoon workshop where you will learn about how everyday foliage and floral botanical sources can impart both color and flavor, using elements from the Celestial Hill farm, and everyday kitchen scraps! You will use non-toxic mordants and natural fabrics to create samples of color, as well as experiment with resist dye techniques.
This intimate workshop focuses on a sustainable approach to creativity. Using non-toxic ingredients gathered from the Celestial Hill farm, and typically composted local kitchen waste, to color natural fabrics! Workshop is lead by local textiles and botanical dye expert, Kristina Foley, of Food Shelter Clothing.
Participants will take home with their own botanically hand dyed 100% silk charmeuse pillowcase!
