Room blocks are generally comprised of 10 or more hotel rooms reserved for guests of your wedding and can be negotiated, particularly with larger properties, at 10% to 40% off retail room prices depending on the season. Room blocks save you time, money, and stress, and pricing is usually most flexible during the shoulder season (November – April).
McMinnville is the ideal location for couples looking to wed at a winery or vineyard, and in fact, over 250 wineries are within a 20 minute drive from historic 3rd street. Each winery has their own policy for hosting wedding ceremonies and receptions, but no matter which you select for your big day, staying in McMinnville makes for an easy hub for all your guests looking to dine, taste, shop, and enjoy wine country in between wedding events!
There truly isn’t a wrong time to travel to McMinnville and Oregon Wine Country. Our rolling hills and vineyards, scenic vistas, and hidden escapes are gorgeous year-round but the most popular time for wine country weddings is typically May – October.

McMinnville is a charming community that offers a tapestry of event venues and hotels, bed and breakfasts, and short-term rentals centered around a walkable downtown. Though we don’t have a large corporate hotel and meeting space in McMinnville, we think that’s a strength allowing the events, meetings, and conferences that happen here to be truly memorable and unique. There are great options for meeting and staying in the same location, but we’ve had just as much success welcoming conferences where the group meets and sleeps in different venues that are easily accessed via a quick stroll through our historic downtown.
