Gahr Farm Cottages

The 350-acre farm is located in a small valley surrounded by low hills with mixed forests and grasslands in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. There are 150 acres in forestland, the remainder is in meadows, wetlands, and riparian areas. Two forks of Muddy Creek pass through the bottomland. Rock mounds in the fields are ancient landmarks caused by undersea volcanoes prior to the continental uplift millions of years ago.
Deer and elk are often seen grazing the bottom land. Many songbirds, as well as thousands of ducks and shore birds visit the farm on their annual migration. The Farm is now managed as a nature reserve.
Two cottages are available. Harry’s Cottage is nestled in the uploand prairie where gigantic white oaks serve as a backdrop. Spacious views of the countryside can be enjoyed from the front porch or back deck. There’s a queen bed in main bedroom and twin beds in the spare bedroom. The Willow Cottage is a rustic, modern two bedroom home that includes king bed, queen bed, full kitchen and laundry.
