Alt Wine Remixed: A Wild Night of Wine (Minus the Pinot) Hits McMinnville’s Art Alley

Alt Wine Fest —the boldest, quirkiest wine celebration in Oregon—is taking a sabbatical this year. But don’t hang up your wine glass just yet. The team behind the fest isn’t going quietly… they’re throwing a party. A big, delicious, DJ-fueled, taco-stuffed party right here in downtown McMinnville.

So, what is Alt Wine Remixed?

Alt Wine Remixed is the high-energy, one-night-only little sibling of Alt Wine Fest—still wildly fun, still anti-Pinot, and still showcasing Oregon’s 80+ other grape varieties (yes, there are that many!). It’s happening Saturday, July 12th in McMinnville’s very own Art Alley, and it’s bringing together over 20 wineries, an absurd mix of rare and rebellious wines, and a dance party powered by vinyl grooves.

Oh, and did we mention tacos? Because there will be tacos. (Thank you, House of Creature.)

What to Expect

  • A Welcome Pour to kick things off

  • All-you-can-eat tacos (vegan and pork options, while supplies last)

  • Glass pours from a rotating bar menu featuring wines you’ve probably never heard of—but definitely want to try (Gouais Blanc? Yes please. Tanat/Malbec/Viognier blend? Why not.)

  • Bottles to-go (a few exclusive selections will be available to snag for your cellar)

  • Real talk with winemakers, who’ll be mingling throughout the party and ready to chat

As festival co-founder Mallory Smith puts it,

“Knowing that the full festival is on hold this year, we are thrilled to host a party in what will be our new home—McMinnville. This remixed version will capture all the spirit and fantastic wine of the original festival, condensed into one evening.”
