Yamhill Gravel Adventure

Start and finish this scenic loop in historic Yamhill, childhood home of Beverly Cleary. With some of the finest gravel riding the Coast Range foothills has to offer, you’ll be treated to dense forests, open hilltops, sublime gravel roads, steep climbs, and one of the best downhills in Yamhill County. Don’t let the ride length fool you, either; it’s only 40 miles but satisfies like a much bigger ride.

Ride Tips:

  • Safety: Limited shoulders and visibility on some country roads
  • Services: Be aware that there is limited cell service on many parts of this route and it is virtually car free. Carry spare tubes, pump, and a bike tool
  • Planning:The Turner Creek road descent is one of the best downhills in Yamhill County but you have to get to the top first, so fill your jersey pockets with food before you depart
