Oregon’s sparkling wine stars align this summer for the inaugural Method Oregon Grand Tasting, which will take place on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Domaine Willamette in the Dundee Hills. This highly anticipated event marks a new chapter in Oregon’s wine story and showcases the state’s leadership in traditional method sparkling wine.

Kicking off the day is a one-of-a-kind panel moderated by award-winning wine writer and educator Julia Coney, who brings together three of Oregon’s most influential voices in sparkling wine:

  • Rollin Soles, founder of ROCO Winery and the original force behind Argyle Winery
  • Andrew Davis, founder of The Radiant Sparkling Wine Company and winemaking director for Lytle-Barnett
  • Kate Payne Brown, Argyle’s head winemaker and a rising star in the international sparkling wine scene

Together, this expert trio will explore the roots, rise, and remarkable future of Oregon’s méthode traditionnelle movement. From early challenges to breakthrough moments and what’s next in the world of long-term aging and production, this panel promises insights you won’t hear anywhere else.

 

A Sparkling Afternoon in Wine Country

Following the morning discussion, guests will enjoy an afternoon tasting of over 50 Oregon-made sparkling wines from 22 top wineries. Every bottle poured at Method Oregon has aged at least 15 months on the lees, ensuring complexity, finesse, and authenticity in every glass. Wineries featured include household names like Argyle, Soter, Domaine Serene, and Adelsheim, alongside rising stars like Corollary, Arabilis, and Maison Jussiaume.

The tasting will be hosted at Domaine Willamette, a stunning new property explicitly designed for sparkling wine by the team behind Willamette Valley Vineyards.
